FTR London ("we", "us", "our") operates the website ftrlondon.co.uk, a platform connecting London renters and
landlords directly. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this site.

2. What Information We Collect
Account information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password
(stored as a secure hash).
Listing information: Landlords submitting a listing provide a phone number, property address,
and property details.
Usage data: We automatically collect your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time
spent on pages via Google Analytics.
Communications: If you contact us by email, we retain that correspondence.
Cookies: We use cookies for session management, analytics (Google Analytics), and advertising
(Google AdSense). You can manage cookie preferences via the consent banner shown on your first visit.
3. How We Use Your Information
To provide the service: Processing listings, enabling contact between renters and landlords,
and managing your account. Lawful basis: contract performance (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR).
Analytics: Understanding how visitors use the site to improve it. Lawful basis: legitimate
interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR).
Advertising: Displaying relevant adverts via Google AdSense. Lawful basis: consent (Article
6(1)(a) UK GDPR), obtained through the cookie consent banner.
Push notifications: If you opt in, we send property alerts via Firebase Cloud Messaging. Lawful
basis: consent.
Legal compliance: We may process data where required by law. Lawful basis: legal obligation
(Article 6(1)(c) UK GDPR).
4. Third-Party Services
We share data with the following third parties, each operating under their own privacy policy:
- Google Analytics — website traffic analysis. Data may be transferred to the USA under standard
contractual clauses. - Google AdSense — advertising. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your
interests. - Firebase (Google) — push notification delivery.
- WordPress / WPEngine — our content management and hosting infrastructure.
We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
5. Data Retention
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Inactive accounts may be deleted after 24 months
of inactivity with prior notice. Listing data is deleted when a listing is removed. Analytics data is retained for
14 months per Google Analytics default settings. Email correspondence is retained for up to 3 years.
6. Your Rights Under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict processing in certain circumstances
- Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

7. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information
Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
8. Platform Safety and Scam Listings
FTR London operates a report system allowing users to flag suspicious listings. All reports are investigated and
appropriate action is taken. However, we cannot guarantee the complete elimination of fraudulent listings. Users
should exercise due diligence and never transfer money before viewing a property in person. FTR London is not
liable for losses arising from interactions with fraudulent listings.
9. Children's Privacy
This platform is not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you
believe we have done so, contact us immediately and we will delete the data.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
